Royal Botanic Gardens Excursion

Year 2 students will be participating in an excursion and learning walk around the Royal Botanic Gardens in Melbourne onFriday 2 December. They will experience a range of activities, including planting a seedling and learning about the parts of plants, as well has time to explore and enjoy the beautiful gardens.

Students are to arrive at school by 8.45am, and buses will leave soon after at 8.50am. We will be leaving the gardens at 2.15pm and are expected to be back in time for school dismissal at 3.30pm. 

Students will need a small backpack with their brain food, recess snack, lunch, drink bottle, hat, sunscreen, weather appropriate clothing, and comfortable walking shoes. 

Excursion information has been published on Compass. Payment of $27 and consent is due now and not later than Friday 2 December. CSEF can be applied. 

Parent helpers are required. If you have a current Working with Children Check that has been presented at the School Office to be copied and recorded, and you've signed the Child Safety Code of Conduct acknowledgement, you can volunteer. Email your child's classroom teacher to advise your availability.
