EOI - 2023 Melbourne Digital Industries and Game Development Technologies Tour

Great Southern Grammar is excited to call for expressions of interest for our inaugural Melbourne Digital Industries and Game Development Technologies Tour to be held in 2023. Melbourne is home to almost half of Australia’s digital games and software development industry including over 120 game development studies and a range of creative talent in support services, animation, motion capture, publishing, marketing, and programming. 

The tour will focus on the thriving digital industries of Melbourne, offering students insights into possible future pathways into industry or further tertiary study. The tour will include visits to the University of Melbourne and Swinburne University, software development studios in the city, and workshops at the Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI). The week will also be filled with experiencing the culture of Melbourne, wrapping up with a full day at the premiere gaming convention in the Southern Hemisphere, PAX Australia. The cost of the tour is approximately $2,500 and includes all airfares and transfers, travel insurance, accommodation, breakfast, some dinners, public transport, and entrance to various city venues. Costs will be finalised once expressions of interest have been collected. 

The tour will run from Tuesday 3 October 2023 to Sunday 8 October 2023 during the school holidays, with departure and arrival from Perth. It is open to students studying in Years Nine to Eleven in 2023.
