PRINCIPAL'S REPORT

MS MICHELLE HAEUSLER - PRINCIPAL

Yesterday our Year 12 VCE students began their final exams with the English exam. It has been wonderful to see many of the students at school over the past week, studying and seeking support from their teachers. I wish them all well and hope that they are rewarded for their efforts throughout the year.

It was a welcome sight to see so many parents, guardians and family members at our End of Year Mass last week. After the past two years of limited access to our end of Year 12 activities, I am grateful that so many people were able to celebrate with us. The final celebration, our Graduation Mass and Dinner, will be held on Friday 18th November.

My thoughts and prayers have been towards the families that are having to make adjustments again, this time for the rising flood waters. It has been a stressful time for many. Please reach out to us if your child requires wellbeing support. The Victorian Government is offering financial support to Catholic school students who are affected by the floods. If your home or belongings are damaged by the floods, please contact us and we can provide you with all of the contact details. Up to $1,200 is available for each student that meets the criteria.

Congratulations to the following students that have been successful in their application for a College Captain role in 2023. Charlotte Angus, Farirai Muyambo, Thanh Pham and Ava Sarre will be excellent leaders and I look forward to working with them in 2023.

Additional student leadership roles, such as House Captains and Committee Captains, will be finalised in the coming week. We will announce these as they are finalised.
