Biz – E – Kidz Summer 2023 Holiday Program Important dates
We are excited to announce the important dates for the Summer 2023 holiday program.
Please note that 2023 preps are not able to attend this holiday program. Please contact your current childcare provider for care during this period.
Holiday Program Dates
- Holiday program runs from Monday 9th January - Friday 27th January.
- We are open for the full day Friday 27th January for the pupil free day
- We are closed for the public holiday on Thursday 26th January
Holiday Program Release
Week Beginning Monday 21st November: Program plans will be available online, via compass, newsletter, and email (we will not be releasing a hard copy).
Holiday Program Bookings Open
Monday 28th November. Bookings can be made online through your Smartcentral account.
Holiday Program Bookings Close
Friday 2nd December: Bookings can still be made after this date but are subject to availability.
Confirmations of Places
Week Beginning Monday 5th December. Confirmation of places in the program or waiting list will be emailed to families.
Deposits due and last day to make changes
Friday 16th December A $10 per child per day deposit is due and the last date to make any changes to your holiday program booking. Any cancellations, changes, or non-attendance after this date will be subject to a $30 per child per day administration fee.
Biz - E - Kidz 2023 enrolment and bookings
Please see below for important 2023 booking and enrolment dates.
Bookings DO NOT carry over from year to year.
This is to ensure we give everyone an equal chance to access the program and ensure we have the most up-to-date contact information for families.
Booking will be made online through Smartcentral, further instructions will be published soon.
Bookings Open
Friday 18th November. Bookings can be made online through your Smartcentral account. Please note, you will not be able to make a booking before Friday 18th November at 7:15 am.
Bookings Close
Friday 25th November 6 pm. Bookings can be made after this date but will not be eligible for the first round of ‘priority of access and will be subject to availability.
Booking Confirmation
Week beginning Monday 28th November. We will confirm bookings or positions on the waitlist during this week. Any bookings received after the 25th of November will be confirmed within 3 working days. Any bookings received after the last day of school 20th December will be confirmed when Biz - E - Kidz reopens in 2023.
Biz - E - Kidz and the Twilight Fete: Friday 4th November
Biz - E - Kidz will be open on Friday 4th November until 6pm, but operating from the FLEX on the south side of the school. To assist us in running a safe program during this exciting event we ask families for the following:
- Unfortunately, children in the care of Biz - E - Kidz WILL NOT be able to attend the fete. If you would like your child to attend, please make arrangements to take them yourself or for another parent to take them
- Not attending your Friday Booking? If your child has a booking for Friday after-school care booking IS NOT attending, please let us know! Email bizekidz@northmelbourneps.vic.edu.au or text 0400 838 448. Children that are booked and ‘No-shows’ will be followed up as an assumed missing
- Being collected by another person? Only authorised contacts can sign children out of Biz - E - Kidz. Use Smartcentral to add an authorised collection contact or email us their name, phone number, and address to bizekidz@northmelbourneps.vic.edu.au

Biz - E - Kidz Fete Preparation
Biz-E-Kidz is excited about the fast-approaching fete! Monty and Oliver in Year 3 have spent some of their Biz-E-Kidz time lately building a component for their game at the fete, showing collaboration, problem-solving, and motivation. These skills are important for our future in an increasingly changeable world. Well done to everyone who is helping organise the fete, it means so much to our school community.
