Meet our School Councilors 

Sarah Mountain  

As the Acting Literacy Learning Specialist this year, I feel incredibly fortunate to share my passion and expertise school-wide. I am excited to be a member of the Education Sub-Committee, sharing our teaching approach and philosophy with the community. 

I completed my degree and taught in the UK before making the move to Australia back in 2015, I love the way of life here and most definitely call Melbourne home. I enjoy spending time outdoors, walking my sausage dog Tilly!

Rowan Kimber

Rowan has a background in commercial aviation and law. He has recently moved from private practice to work at the Civil Aviation Safety Authority in the emerging aviation technology team.  

Rowan and his very patient and supportive wife, Rachel, have one child, Charlie, who is in year three. They moved to North Melbourne in late 2019 so that Charlie could attend NMPS and quickly fell in love with the area. Almost three years in, they are confident they made the right decision and couldn’t think of a better place for their family.  

In addition to the school council, Rowan is the NMPS Parents and Friends Association president. Outside of school and work, Rowan and his family love the great outdoors and spend their free time hiking, cycling, skiing, and camping.
