We also welcome Meegan Baker to the team next year.  Meegan will be teaching Performing Arts and comes to us with a wealth of experience in this area.  We very much look forward to welcoming her to the community.

I would like to inform you that Liam Clark is finishing at Chilwell at the end of the year.  We wish Liam all the best for his next role and beyond.

In addition to this I would like to thank Kath Collins and Jaime Blackney for stepping into short term contract Educational Support staff roles this year.  They have been fabulous additions to the staffing group and such great supports within each classroom and of individuals.

Thank you again to all of the amazing volunteers that supported us at the Working Bee last Sunday.  We had a very successful morning with everyone, including all of the children pitching in with great effort.

The time and effort given by volunteers is paramount to the success of our school, and I thank each and every member of our community that has volunteered throughout the year, whether it be a working bee, camps, excursions, within the classroom, the Fair, just to name a few.

Thank you to the parents that attended the afternoon tea last Thursday, a small token of our appreciation for all that you do.

I would like to thank Marie and her team of volunteers, for putting on the morning tea for staff on Monday.  Delicious treats for all that were greatly appreciated.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all staff for their amazing efforts this year.  Although I only had the experience with working with them for a term, I am motivated by their commitment to the students and Chilwell community.  I am very excited that I have the opportunity to continue with them next year and beyond, now that my position is confirmed.  I must say, that the most enjoyable part of this term has been getting to know the students.  A dynamic and enthusiastic bunch of individuals that you should all be very proud of.  Although only briefly spending time with the grade 6 students, I have been impressed with their high level of maturity, and supportive nature towards their peers and the staff.  I wish them all the very best for the next part of their educational journey, and look forward to hearing about their future successes.

I wish you all a very happy and health break over January and will see you in 2023.
