Auslan Extra! 

Hello families, carers and the Armstrong Creek community, 

Hope this finds you all well.

Wow, where did the time go and who would believe the holidays are just around the corner, who is excited? I can say I am, especially with the onset of summer weather, I just love the hot weather (let’s hope we will see many of these types of days ahead). 

I just wanted to share with you that I am extremely excited for 2023. With Auslan Extra, I will continue to share a variety of videos each fortnight - these will include me explaining what is Auslan, and how do we use it and ways to practise at home with family and friends.

We will use ACS Facebook pages every now and then for example; April, as I thought it would be good to show you different sign each day. There will be 30 different signs relating to Easter themes, perhaps similar for December related to Christmas themes, it will be share on ACS Facebook your child(ren) may just be a famous celebrity down the track. My goal is to try to increase using students to participate in both Auslan Extra and ACS Facebook. 

Since this is the last Auslan Extra for this year, this video is related to Christmas themes. It is not me, it is a friend of mine who is happy to share her video. Also another friend is happy to share if your up for a quick 5 minutes, there is a video where you can learn 40 key signs to communicate with a deaf/hard of hearing person if you bumped into them during a holiday, at work, or at school.
