Midsumma Pride March

Registrations are open to join the Victorian Public Sector (VPS) contingent at the Midsumma Pride March on Sunday 5 February 2023, which travels along Fitzroy Street in St Kilda.

The march is a feature of Melbourne’s Midsumma Festival, which runs from Saturday 21 January to Sunday 12 February 2023. The march is a celebration of love and identity, and a demonstration of support for LGBTIQ+ rights.

Diversity and inclusion are key values for the department, and the march is one of the key events on the VPS and Department of Education (DE) Pride Network calendar.

Midsumma Pride March brings together our diverse VPS and DE Pride Network communities, along with our allies and champions, to demonstrate our strength and solidarity and participate as a collective of many voices, identities, genders and sexualities.

Who can join the march?

Anyone can attend the march, including all school and corporate staff and their family members, friends and pets.

By joining the Midsumma Pride March, you can stand up and show your support for LGBTIQ+ colleagues, friends and family.
