SPS Playgroup News

SPS Playgroup Has Now Begun!

What a great start to playgroup! It has been lovely to meet the children and their families. They have played with many of our wonderful toys and enjoyed doing an art activity to add to our window scene. We’re so happy to have them as part of our wonderful school community.

We hope to see many more children and families join our playgroup in the near future.

Playgroup At SPS

Scoresby Primary School has always valued connection and community. We practise it every day by actively encouraging our HEART values during school and while we are out in the community.

We also know and understand how important making social connections is.  The last couple of years have made this pretty tough on the youngest members of our community.

With this in mind, we  have made the decision to run a Playgroup for children aged 3 and up here at the school! School-based playgroups have some amazing benefits for children and their families, which is why we are so excited to start accepting enrollments.

Playgroup sessions run on Tuesday mornings from 9.15-10.45am in our Year 1/2 building in a dedicated Playgroup Room that is a great, fun place for play! The sessions are facilitated by two of our ES staff - Sam and Donna - who have experience working in Early Childhood Education.

If you or anyone you know is interested in enrolling, please contact the office.

Our Playgroup is open to families outside of Scoresby PS as well as those who are already part of our school community!

We are so excited to be able to provide this service and help our littlest humans establish their own community and enjoy some wonderful social and learning experiences.
