Co-curricular - Junior Sport

As we near the conclusion of Semester 1, I would like to take the opportunity to thank all our coaches that have contributed to the Junior School Co-curricular program. Your time, effort and expertise has been appreciated by all those involved in sport for the first half of the season, especially the boys. To the staff, thank you for your constant support of the program and the boys. Your tireless efforts at training and carnivals are the reason for our success. To the parents/carers, thank you for driving the boys around Sydney every Saturday morning to get to their games and your unwavering support of our teams. Finally, to the Junior School boys - congratulations on all your efforts on and off the field this semester. The Summer season got off to a rocky start, however we have had a very successful Winter season so far. I look forward to the final three rounds in Term 3.

The Junior School House Athletics Carnival will be held on Breen Oval this Thursday 23 June. I would like to warmly invite all parents/carers to come along and watch the boys participate. The carnival is scheduled to officially start at 9:00 AM. Boys involved in the 1,500M will compete in our first event at 7:30 AM. The carnival will run on normal school times and boys will be dismissed at the end of the day at 3:10 PM. All parents/carers spectating are asked to please sit on the green benches along the Fraser Street side of Breen Oval. I look forward to seeing many of you there.

This week, three boys from the Junior School are away representing the CIS in Rugby League. I have been informed that the competition is tough, and the CIS team has performed well so far during the competition. We wish Raphael Cipollone, Kaylan Qutami and Seamus O’Connell all the best for the remainder of the rugby league tournament.
