Introduction

Dear MGC students and families,

I am sure that we will all remember 2020 for many years to come. The ongoing COVID emergency has brought about a great number of challenges, and one of these has been how we as a school support our students as they choose subjects and pathways moving forward.

The lockdown restrictions have meant we have moved our Subject Selection information evenings online (details found at http://mgc.vic.edu.au/year-8-11-parent-information-night-2021/), and I hope you can join us at these so we can answer any questions you have.

We would also normally have had an Expo where staff are available to discuss individual subjects. To replace this expo for 2020 our staff have created a series of videos about most subjects available which we hope will be useful, and you will find these videos within this newsletter.

I would like to thank our amazing MGC staff for putting together these videos at short notice and under such challenging conditions, and of course our wonderful students and their families for their ongoing resilience throughout this time.
