Principal Post

Dear Families

We come to the end of what has been an extraordinary term!  The remote learning experience has  had various upsides and challenges.  We would like to hear again about your views.  We sent an email to you recently with a survey link. Thank you to those who have responded.

Catholic Education Melbourne has developed a set of optional surveys for schools to capture the views and  learnings achieved during the remote learning period.  The surveys are designed to be quick and rapid capture of learnings, instead of every aspect of schooling during the remote learning period.

There is a separate survey for students, for teachers and one for parents.  The survey is open only until the close of business on Friday 26th June.

Data is anonymous and will be shared with our school directly, a few weeks into Term 3.

This will be a valuable opportunity to seek feedback for improvements in organisational and student learning.

I share the survey link for interested parents.

Thank You

As we come to the end of this term, I want to say again how proud I am of the students families and staff for the manner in which you are and have approached and managed the COVID Pandemic.  I acknowledge that COVID is not over,  but I  want to say how much I appreciate the community for the efforts across this term.  The students resilience and their ability to get back into their learning upon their return  has been so heartening. To see them reconnect and laugh with and enjoy their friends and teachers has been fabulous. To all the parents you have done an amazing job investing in your child's learning and juggling other work and family priorities. I take my hat off to each one of you and understand the challenges that you are facing.  I thank you for your patience, your goodwill and support of our school.

The staff as you are  aware are awesome and have gone above and beyond. The staff wish only for the best for your children and that is core to productive relationships. The Remote Learning experience  has  for staff embedded  skills and teaching approaches.

Hygiene and Community safety

It continues to be important that  if your child is unwell in anyway, they must stay at home. I'm sure every family and workplace understands the importance of this matter at this time in support of school and   community safety.

The Semester 1 School Reports will be sent home via your child THIS FRIDAY. Please understand that due to Remote Learning these are modified reports. This is the case for all schools.

Financial Commitments- School Fees and Charges

Once again I remind families that should you be experiencing  any Financial hardship in relation to the payment of school fees/ levies,  it is crucial that you let us know your circumstance,  so we can discuss  and plan a manageable way forward. These discussions/ meetings are confidential. As always the school  wishes to be  supportive of genuine financial hardship.
