ROUND 3
GAME 1 - Tanaranga Taipans vs Kambara Kings
The Taipans started the game by winning the tap but missed an early goal. Then Tatchell made a commanding drive to score for the Taipans putting them on top early in the game, although the Kings also had a few early goals. Ethan scored a free throw that put Yellow up by 5. A steal from the Kings almost resulted in a basket but ultimately it was up to our local sport legend, Mitchell Webb to take the goal. Portia made her basketball debut and contributed to a goal. The second half started with Logan taking a few shots, however it was Phoenix who was able to convert on back-to-back drives. The Kings took the ball and Webb made the shot. Another highlight of the game was Taipans first year Kody “The Kid” McDonnell scoring his first ever goal and fist pumping, back down the court, like it was his birthday, as the Taipans ran out 23 to 10 winners.
GAME 2 - Taltarni Thunder vs Wandarra Warriors
Sam shot the first goal for Thunder however the team followed it up with a number of misses. Sam successfully deflected the ball twice in a row, preventing the Warriors from making a basket. Just before half time Lily and Tom collided mid-air, leaving them both on the ground. After half time Cooper and Addy had shot multiple goals, resulting in a win for the Taltarni Thunder.

ROUND 4
GAME 2 - Taltarni Thunder vs Kambara Kings
As we enter the second half of the season, the Kambara Kings took on the Taltarni Thunder.
Kambara started the stronger of the two teams, with veteran Chappy scoring at will.
Red fought back through plays such as Ben Grant’s, where he stole the ball and then took it to the rack for 2 points.
The game was evenly poised at half time with Taltarni narrowly leading 18 to 16.
Early in the second half, Matilda Venes went to the free throw line and was able to convert 1 of her 2 shots. While the crowd were treated to a masterful performance by Addy Corbett, who could not stop scoring, putting up over 20 points. This display showed why some are talking about her winning the MCW player of the season.
It should be noted that Zac Daly also put in a dominant performance, with his 3 pointer being the highlight.
While the youthful Kings, with players such as Zac Bickerton, Liam Sage, Emmet Tiley, Tom Kehoe and Aris Damalas fought valiantly, they couldn’t quite match the Thunder without staff member and key player Portia Hughes, whose absence was sorely felt.
The Taltarni Thunder ran out 20 points winners 38 to 18.
