Courage, Faith, Love
Dear Parents and Friends of St Agatha's Primary School,
Congratulations to all the students who celebrated the Sacrament of First Eucharist. The students all looked wonderful in their suits and beautiful dresses. It was a beautiful Mass. I'd like to personally thank everyone involved in preparing the students for this important milestone. Please keep the students who will celebrate the Sacrament of First Eucharist this coming Sunday.
Book Week Day
What a fun day we had last Friday. Thank you for making your children look amazing as their favourite book character. It was a fabulous day and the teachers had a little too much fun getting into their characters too!
Child Safety Week
Next week it is Child Safety Week. All classes will take part in activities that promote child safety. One of the most important aspect of our school's approach to child safety is to promote student voice. Teachers have been discussing with students what to do if they ever feel unsafe at school, home or online. The school has developed an online form that students in years 3-6 can complete if they have experienced feeling unsafe. This form will alert our wellbeing leader who can assist as required. A more informal paper version form has also been developed for our junior F-2 students. Teachers will continue to remind students to use their 'Helping Hand' at school. The Helping Hand is used by students to identify adults at school who they can speak to when feeling unsafe.
Please enjoy this message from Maria Kirkwood about Child Safety.
Father's Day Breakfast
Thank you to the STAC group who organised and ran the Father's Day stall on Wednesday. The students enjoyed going shopping and buying some wonderful gifts.
It was absolutely brilliant to see so many happy children with their dads come along to the our Father's Day breakfast this morning. I really enjoyed meeting so many families and
seeing so many people stay for our prayer liturgy in the classrooms! Thank you to all the staff who gave extra hours to prepare and serve breakfast this morning! I know the school community appreciates each and every one of you!
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and Father's Day. Please keep all father's in your prayers, especially those who are sick or those who are unable to be with their families this weekend.
