Welcome Back

Well, here we are at the end of our first week of having our kids back on site, and entering the new world post lockdown six!

It was truly fantastic to see all the bright happy faces of the kids, but also those of the teachers. To hear the noise out in the playground from the children was so enjoyable, in fact it all sounded so normal. It was as if lockdown was a memory and they really fully engrossed themselves in the here now; climbing trees, dragging logs across the yard, visiting first-aid for a band-aid! Ahhh, also normal!

Covid Update

• We are still under the direction of the guidelines from DET; face masks, social distancing, and isolating play areas for the children on-site.
• We are are currently providing ventilation to the classrooms by having windows and door open during the day, where this is possible.
• Air purifiers have not arrived as yet.  I will inform the community when they arrive.

Here is the updated timetable for Week 4 of term 4, beginning Monday the 25th of October. Please check when your student is onsite for learning.

General Updates

Sun Smart Term 4 

Students are expected to be at school with a hat to wear during breaks, this a school policy. If children do not have their hat at school they will be required to play in a designated shaded space. The office will not be providing spare hats and we don't encourage hat sharing.

Library Books

Reminder, please make sure when your child returns to school, they also return the library books they borrowed. David will start auditing the book collection as we move toward the end to this term and year. 

2/3 Camp

Last week we notified families the camp has been cancelled for 2021. It is our expectation that the camp will proceed in 2022. At this point in time we do not have confirmed dates, but will notify parents when we receive them.

SENTRAL

Reminder to check the  SENTRAL parent calendar for updates or changes. There may be times where we need to make last minute changes, as we continue under Covid restrictions set by DET.

Stay Safe

We know this week-end brings a greater opportunity for families and friends to re-connect and how wonderful will it be after so many months of ZOOMING! 

So stay safe, but don't drop your guard, just because rates are so good, we just don't want this virus hanging around any longer than necessary.
