Thornbury Sport

For a second year, PE & Health Week was celebrated during a remote learning phase, in week 8 of term 3. There were again a range of activities available for students, staff and families to participate in. House points were on offer for each activity, to reward participation as well as importantly maintaining the competitive and proud house spirit.

The range of activities included:

  • THS Running Club (including walking, running and cycling)
  • Family Footy Pie Night
  • Olympics Quiz with Mrs Collins, with a number of special guest athletes who competed in the recent Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics asking the questions via videos
  • Cook-along
  • Sock Challenge
  • Footy Day

Saunders held a commanding lead for most of the week, but a late surge from Nicholls made it a very tight contest.

Congratulations to Saunders house who were the deserving 2021 PE/Health Week Champions!
