Invitation to Celebrate Mass with the St Anne's Community

We are delighted that the churches are open again for worship and our Parish of

St Anne's is looking wonderful after a major interior refreshment.  Even the bells are ringing once again.  It was lovely to see a few of our Galilee families at Mass on Saturday evening.  The Parish of St Patrick's is still under renovation and there will be a notification via the parish as to when Sunday Mass at St Patrick's will return.

St Anne's Mass Times: 8am, 5pm Saturdays & 8am Sunday

We hope to see you at Mass on Saturday.

The Daily Examen is a technique of prayerful reflection on the events of the day in order to detect God’s presence and discern his direction for us. The Examen is an ancient practice in the Church that can help us see God’s hand at work in our whole experience.

The method presented here is adapted from a technique described by Ignatius Loyola in his Spiritual Exercises. St. Ignatius thought that the Examen was a gift that came directly from God, and that God wanted it to be shared as widely as possible.

All Saints Day & The Month of All Souls

DID YOU KNOW? All Hallows' Eve falls on 31st October each year, and is the day before All Hallows' Day, also known as All Saints' Day in the Christian calendar. The Church traditionally held a vigil on All Hallows' Eve when worshippers would prepare themselves with prayers and fasting prior to the feast day itself. The name derives from the Old English 'hallowed' meaning holy or sanctified and is now usually contracted to the more familiar word Hallowe'en.

During the November the Church Celebrates the Month of All Souls, when we remember the souls of loved ones who have died.  At Galilee, we have a tradition of raising a 'Remembrance Tree' where students & families are invited to write the names of their loved ones on a leaf before tying it to the tree in the front office space.  Those names will then be collected and a mass will be said for them during the month of November.  On Monday, each child will receive leaves to write those names on, and return them to school to be tied to our Remembrance Tree.
