Careers in Trades

Kym Tierney from the Apprenticeship Community visited the College last week offering guidance to our Year 12s as they conclude their studies and look for career options. Some students completed a survey profile and registered to be alerted when relevant jobs meeting their profile arise.

Kym offered a wealth of knowledge and experience and had great advice for those wishing to find an apprenticeship. She is based in Perth and the company has personnel in Bunbury and across the state. Please check out the website.

If you require any support with selecting prospective Trades careers or help organising relevant work placements drop me an email or pop in to my office  and we will be happy to assist if we can.

Year 12 Concluding

The Trades staff have been following up and giving every opportunity for ALL Year 12 students to complete as many qualifications as they can. Many students are expected to return next term to complete their studies.

Personal Projects

The students are making some fantastic projects this year. A reminder that Year 12 students must finalise their accounts for projects outstanding now. Students collecting projects must go through administration and get a receipt so the process runs smoothly.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

It is a requirement for all students working in the workshops to wear PPE. Any student who presents to class without the expected safety equipment will be issued the required PPE and the cost will be placed on their account.
