Class Activities

Year 12 ATAR - Plants

Recently the Year 12 Plant Production System ATAR class were given the opportunity to speak with Cameron from Eco-Growth to find more out about the trial up at Beef section and the importance of soil health. The students asked some great questions and Cameron delivered his presentation that linked with curriculum and topics that could be covered in their exams.

Year 11 Animals - General

Recently Year 11 Animal Production Systems students visited the old Harvey Ag site to gather notes on possible sustainable land use options. Mr Howell gave students some important info about what the site is currently used for, its potential and the sustainability practices he needs to consider for the environment, river system and neighbouring agriculture and housing. This week students have been busy applying this knowledge as they complete an assessment task that requires them to create their own plan for the sustainable use of the land.

Year 12 Plants - General

The Year 12 Plant Production Systems General students have been privileged to be the last group of Year 12 students to receive a T-budding demonstration from Mr Foster before he retires. Students received the demo in preparation for their final test, that they completed this week, on plant anatomy and function, specifically asexual reproduction. Mr Foster’s knowledge and entertaining demos will be missed! Thanks Mr Foster.

Year 12 Farewell

Congratulations to the Year 12 students on completing all their final Class assessments. This is certainly something they are all celebrating!! The Year 12 ATAR students will of course be back in class briefly next term to revise prior to their ATAR exams.

On behalf of the Class staff, I would like to farewell the Year 12 General students and wish them all the best for the future. We look forward to seeing them again on Graduation Day to recognise their achievements and say our final formal farewell.
