Two Year 12 students both attend work experience at the same business.

  1. What are your main tasks? Sheep work, fabrication.
  2. What hours do you work? 7am - 4pm.
  3. How many people do you work with?  6
  4. What is the best part of the work that you are doing? Sheep work, learning new things.
  5. What is your least favourite task and why? Fabrication – could get a bit boring.
  6. Do you think that being at the Ag school has helped with the work that you are doing? Yes – learnt heaps.
  7. Why (what skills that you have learned have helped you – welding, auto, farm etc)? Welding, livestock work, mechanics.

  1. What are your main tasks? Monitoring and caring for lambs, foot baths, weighing, feeding, observing body condition.  Helping with new shearing shed e.g routering grating, putting boards down on floor.
  2. What hours do you work? 7.00am to 4.00pm.
  3. How many people do you work with?  6+
  4. What is the best part of the work that you are doing? Being able to learn and physically see lambs improve body condition. Performing experiments to increase daily weight gain and improve on stomach health.                                                                                                                       
  5. What is your least favourite task and why? There is no bad part about Kingston Rest.  We are just constantly learning new.
  6. Do you think that being at the Ag school has helped with the work that you are doing?  Yes.
  7. Why (what skills that you have learned have helped you – welding, auto, farm etc)? Helped me learn to use the wood working machines.
