Prayer:

"Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."

Matthew 11:28

The reading for today the 4th November is Matthew 11:28.

A big one in so many ways. Not only is it a universal invitation, to come to God and seek solace and to provide those of us who are struggling and toiling everyday and seeming getting nowhere, some relief.  Some rest from fear, hopelessness, addictions, anxiety,  rest for your soul (your mind, will and emotions).

But I also think it is an invitation to learn from God, and for us to see that a fast track to the grave is not what we need but rather to see that the life we live now that determines where we will spend eternity.

For me, that is us as a family/community having respect and love for one another... I say...spread that around like glitter! Let it get stuck to every head, heart and in every crack and crevice so that you are finding it weeks later!

It is with love and gratefulness that we returned to school this week.

Monday saw , four Year 6 students; Brock, Will, Chase and Corby, run our Socktober events to support Catholic Mission Australia.

All of the students in attendance had a ball, pun intended!

(please see the post on the closed Facebook Feed for photos).

Thank you to Julie Cotter, Mar Moffat, Kasie Jarvis and Tina Keyzer for returning to school early to provide our Sacred Hearters with the opportunity to come back together.

I also want to thank the Hooton's (Cassie and Justin) for their amazing quick actions and communication with our school, it is their prompt action that prevented our recent Covid experience being far greater.  Thank you, is such a small phrase but carries so much with it.

I would also like to thank the Corryong Health and Albury Wodonga Health Teams, in particular Dom Sandilands and Nicole Martin for their tireless efforts in supporting our community. We are blessed to have a health service of that calibre here in our small but wonderful town.
