Primary News

Room 1

Room 1 have enjoyed being together again in the classroom. The students from remote and flexible learning transitioned very well as they get back to the classroom routine.  It has been a very busy start to Term 4 in Room 1, we participated in the Halloween dress up and did some awesome Halloween artworks! We also had a great day going to school in our pyjamas!

In Reading, we learned about the story of the ‘Hungry Caterpillar’ and sequenced the events in the story as they happened on the different days of the week. We have been loving going to the OT room for some play time to build our physical and social skills. We also enjoyed hands-on cool science experiments and cooking delicious food in the kitchen! Room 1 is looking forward to fun Christmas activities and end of year events for the remaining weeks of the term!

Primary Sub School News

Our JSA colouring competition has proven to be very popular. All students had had the opportunity to participate in this activity. Students have really enjoyed colouring some of their favourite characters including, Pokemon and Batman, while developing their fine motor and concentration skills at the same time.

Sensory play is always fun and our primary students have had some fun exploring different textures and colours. Colourful spaghetti is usually a hit!

Physical Education is provided weekly for all students and our Primary students really enjoy learning to move their bodies in different ways. A range of equipment is used, and this week the exercise balls and the Occupation Therapy room provided some great movement opportunities. Physical Education is definitely an activity in the week that students look forward to and engage in.
