This year, our SIT members held the responsibility for leading the strategic delivery of our school goals; focusing on 'Reading & Viewing', 'Numeracy' and 'Student Voice and Agency'. SIT plays an important role in supporting, driving, and monitoring improvement and actively engaging and focusing with the school community in a shared purpose for improvement.
This was evidenced in their planning and implementation of key initiatives through Professional Learning Sessions delivered each week, staff meetings and student leadership opportunities.
Although we faced significant interruptions during remote and flexible learning, I am proud of the work that our SIT members accomplished throughout the year, to ensure that the regular operations of the school would continue. As a result, learning and wellbeing continued to be at the centre of school improvement; strengthening the culture of learning at the school.
2022 AIP
In light of the findings of the Royal Commission into Victoria’s Mental Health System and advice from the profession, our 2022 AIP School Priorities Areas will be streamlined and simplified to enable JSA to focus on improving every student’s learning and wellbeing outcomes:
The 2022 School Priorities are:
1) Learning – Support both those who need scaffolding and those who have thrived to continue to extend their learning, especially in numeracy
2) Wellbeing – Effectively mobilise available resources to support students' wellbeing and mental health, especially the most vulnerable
This visual representation showcases next year's school vision linked to the two School Priority Areas and School Theme: 'Embedding Student Learning and Wellbeing'.
