JLA News

This semester, JLA have been learning about Change and Transformation in Inquiry. This term in particular, we have been focusing on changing materials. The JLA student participated in a woodwork incursion in which they had to use wood and string to create a wooden airplane or a wooden bird house. They also were able to use hammers and screwdrivers, some students for the first time!

This term in Literacy, we have been learning about narratives so we also got to participate in an incursion in which we decorated gingerbread cookies and created a setting for them. We also got to have a gingerbread star which some students chose to make a friend for the gingerbread person or even a ninja star! The most challenging part of the task was not licking our fingers before we were allowed!
