Grade Three

WOW things have changed a bit once again! We did Remote Learning for most of Term 3 and while it was very challenging for everyone it was also wonderful to see how hard our students worked. At this point in our journey the Grade 3 teachers would like to once again, congratulate our students and their families on the brilliant job they did with their online learning and their ongoing commitment, attitude and resilience.

It was wonderful to come back to school part time in Week 4 and 5 and everyone enjoyed seeing their friends, returning to our school routines and simply just loved being back! As we are now in week six it is sensational that we are back at school full time.

The Grade 3 Teachers have continued to work hard to ensure our remote learning and onsite content covered and incorporated English, Maths, Integrated Studies, Respectful Relationships and Wellbeing, Science and Art-based activities. We have provided students with opportunities to improve their reading stamina in reading and have encourages students to explore both fiction and non-fiction texts. In writing we have revised persuasive writing and have enjoyed learning  this genre. We have also worked hard to publish some of our writing.

We have continued to revise number concepts in Mathematics and have also focused on measurement. Our students have enjoyed completing open ended tasks and have enjoyed our daily Maths reflections.

In Integrated Studies we have been exploring inventions which has been both thought provoking and interesting. The students are quite eager and enthusiastic as we explore the topic.

We look forward to the remainder of term four and are genuinely thrilled to be back at school, working onsite together!
