Physical Education
Prep/JLC: During PE this term we have been focusing on “Spatial Awareness” meaning we are always looking to see what or who is around us while we are playing games or running around in general. The children had so much fun playing games where we had to dodge other students in closed spaces that got progressively smaller. One of the class's favourite games was “Spaceship Tag” where everyone is in their own personal hula hoop or spaceship and if you crash your spaceship both players have to bob down.
3/4 : The 3/4 ‘s had a Soccer Gala Day where we played heaps of games of Soccer against the other Catholic Schools in the district. We had one boy's team and one girl's team with some extra fill-ins. We were able to win both of our Pools without losing a single game. The students loved every minute of the day playing a sport they love.
4/5/6: The students in 4/5/6 have been focusing on learning the skills involved in all types of bat/racquet sports. We have learnt to keep our eyes on the ball and striking balls using the correct techniques. We played an adapted version of cricket with multiple bats being used. The students had a blast having a go at using all different types of bats.
Footy Day
On the 5th of September, St Bridget’s celebrated Footy Day! This is where all the students came in their favourite AFL, Soccer, Rugby or NFL teams attire. The students all sang the songs of their team and showed lots of enthusiasm doing so. We also had a number of Competitions and winners of various prizes listed below.
