Student Wellbeing

This term, I have been working on a survey that the students will complete anonymously. This will allow me to collect data and get a good understanding of where the students need some support. I would also like to create one for the staff to do in the future. I think it is very important that we get everyone involved in making the school a better place to be. Even before becoming the Wellbeing Leader, it has been a passion of mine.

Stay tuned for more information once the survey is completed.

Another thing I have been working towards is bringing in a new program called Peer Support.

This is an exciting whole school approach to support students and their wellbeing. The fun thing about Peer Support is that it is actually led by the students. The senior students will take charge as leaders of small groups of students from the younger year levels. We will have weekly structured sessions where the student leaders will run fun team building activities focusing on a particular area. I am hoping to start our first topic on building and keeping friendships.

Kind regards
