Message from the Principal

Term 3 was a busy term filled with lots of activities and Special Days.

We started the term with the Year 4s celebrating their First Eucharist. The children were well prepared by their teachers as well as attending a parent-child workshop with the Presentation Family Project facilitator, Pia Pagotto.

Our senior students of our Mini Vinnies Team collected donations this Term for the Winter Appeal for two charities: St Mary House of Welcome and St Vincent de Paul. Thank you to all the families who  generously donated long life milk and non- perishable food items.

Thank you to Mrs Dunn for organising another very successful Book Week. The children love dressing up and enjoyed being able to show off their costumes. Come into the library to see the students’ collaborative art work.

The Primary Open Chess Tournament held on 30th August saw St Bridget's place 4th out of 11 schools. Our highest ranked student was Jaden Q  who was placed 9th and received a silver medal for his efforts. Congratulations Jayden.

A big thank you to all our mothers who volunteered their time  to make the Father’s Day Breakfast a very special occasion.

Congratulations to our skippers for their performance. Thank you to Ms Nicki Durrant for her time and dedication in teaching the children the skipping skills and routines.

The term concluded with our intensive two week Swimming Program at the Surrey Park Swim School. It was wonderful to watch the children develop their water safety skills and grow more and more confident each day.

I wish you all a very happy and relaxing holiday. I am looking forward to Robyn’s return and hope she is enjoying a well deserved rest.

Kind Regards

Margie Maher
