Book Week is Coming!!!

Each year since 1945 the CBCA has brought children and books together across Australia through Children's Book Week. During this time schools and public libraries spend one glorious week celebrating books and Australian children's authors and illustrators.

This year the theme for Book Week is Read, Grow,  Inspire. To bring the magic of books alive we will have our annual Book Fair the week before from August 14th to 18th. This will give students an opportunity to explore and purchase new books to read at school or at home.

During Book Week, we will also be highlighting the short-listed books in classrooms and conclude the week with our Book Week dress-up day on August 25th. This is a time when students can get dressed as their favourite book characters and listen to and engage with some of the shortlisted stories.

In the graphic attached, you can see all of the shortlisted books if you would like to borrow these from your local library or purchase them for your child to read. We will continue to  share details about our Book Fair and Book Week activities over the next few weeks.
