Foundation students were thrilled to see that their bean seeds had sprouted since they were last in the room. We look forward to monitoring their growth in the next few weeks.

Last week Year 4 students got to work with the Foundation students by sharing their creative Blue-Bot mats. They guided Foundation students to code the robots along the mats, supporting them to ‘debug’ their code if the robot did not go where they wanted it to travel.

Year 1 students have been learning about how fossils form and got to use the interactive screen to connect dinosaurs to their fossils. They all then had a chance to experiment with augmented reality (AR) saw dinosaurs move around in the STEAM room.

Year 4 students were introduced to Sphero Bolt, a programmable robot ball that can be moved around the floor or coded to travel in certain directions. They are looking forward to building around their Sphero Bolts to create chariots which will be used in some friendly ‘battles’ between teams of players.
