Fighting the Kaiser

Year 9 Presentation

This Term, Year 9 History classes have been learning about World War I. 

Last Tuesday, Year 9 enjoyed a history presentation called WWI: Fighting the Kaiser.

Glen, who acted out the play, created a humorous and educational interpretation of the traumatic effects left by the horrific experiences of war. Throughout the play, Glen recounted battles, explaining the heroic parts, and mentioning, then dismissing, the unpleasant parts. This was due to the false glorification of war, which is vital in understanding the outlook of war from the time. This informative play was valuable, and we look forward to continuing our learning on the past, and its effect on the present.
