Cassius is receiving this award for stepping into Term 2 with great enthusiasm! Each day, Cassius demonstrates the HEART values by respecting others, following instructions and sharing all of his wonderful ideas. On top of this, he is a kind and gentle student. Jaxx is receiving this award for making a settled start to term 2 and displaying the HEART value of Excellence. During writing he worked with great focus to achieve his personal best this week. Jaxx wrote an interesting informative text about cats which included some great facts about what cats eat and like to do. Well done, Jaxx! Keep up the great work!

Harlan L. - 1/2K

For the amazing writing he did this week. When Harlan was asked to write some information about an animal he knew lots about, he wrote some very interesting facts about dinosaurs. He also spelt some enormous words like cretaceous and tyrannosaurus. Well done Harlan, you are certainly a dinosaur expert!

Ava S. - 3/4C

The 3/4C award goes to Ava for the inspiring resilience she has demonstrated in the classroom this week. Ava has taken challenges on with a ‘can do’ attitude and has remained positive when unsure about a task. Well done Ava! I am very proud of you.

Mohammad K. - 3/4E

Mohammad is receiving this award for returning to school with a great attitude and enthusiasm for learning. During our STEM session this week, Mohammad showed a keen intrest in magnets and how they work, sharing his knowledge with his peers. I can’t wait to learn many more interesting facts from you Mohammad.

Mahi P. - 3/4S

Mahi is congratulated on the improvement she has made with her handwriting. Last term, Mahi practised writing on the correct line, making sure her letters were formed correctly and that they were an appropriate size. It is wonderful to see that she is now monitoring and correcting her handwriting to make it neat and accurate. Well done Mahi.

Tarkyn has had an outstanding start to Term 2! He has blown me away with the effort he is putting into his learning both on the floor and at his table. This award goes to Ethan for the kindness he shows to others. During this week, Ethan comforted another student who was not feeling well and also went out of his way to include a member of our class who did not have a group to join. I am so proud of you Ethan for always thinking about our School HEART values and showing kindness is a great character strength to have!

Dylan J. - 5/6W

For his wonderful transition back to school after the holidays. This week, Dylan has demonstrated all of the Scoresby HEART values, in particular Respect on a daily basis. He has been kind and inclusive with his peers both inside and outside of the classroom and has shown a positive attitude towards all aspects of his learning. Keep up the wonderful work Dylan! Leah H. - Performing Arts

This award acknowledges and congratulates Leah’s all-round musicianship skills. Leah demonstrated excellent learning during her recent ukulele skills test. She is also a valuable member of our SPS choir who received a special mention from our new choir leader, Steph. Well done Leah!

Braxton P. - Visual Arts

Students in Foundation explored adding water to coloured crepe paper to make the colours ‘bleed’. Braxton skillfully placed the crepe squares to create a chequered pattern and artistically limited his colour choices. He also did a terrific job drawing his self-portrait. Wow Braxton, your artwork is simply fabulous!
