Positive Living Skills

Highlight: Mrs Hogg
This term has been so busy with so many highlights. Each day I am privileged to work alongside a dedicated and inspirational group of K-2 teachers who are offering many wonderful learning opportunities in literacy and numeracy for our K-2 students at Burke Ward Public School.
My highlight this term has been the recognition of the learning opportunities we are offering at our school being acknowledged by others in the NSW Department of Education.
The Early Action for Success (EAfS) State Literacy team visited the school earlier in the term to come and see what we are doing in literacy in K-2 classrooms, as the K-2 team have had incredible success in recent years in our reading results.
The BWPS Big Ideas numeracy team was also blessed to have EAfS Numeracy Leader, Michelle Tregoning and EAfS Numeracy Deputy Principal, Lucy Evans, come and work alongside myself, Miss Kelly, Miss Callaway and Mr Atherton with the work we are undertaking in maths.
I am excited for all of the teachers I work alongside to continue to deepen our knowledge, using research-based teaching pedagogy to ensure the students at Burke Ward Public are receiving the best education possible.
