Student Interim Reports

A reminder that Term 3 Interim Reports are now available on the XUNO Parent Portal.

Detailed instructions on how to access the reports can be found in the graphic below.

If you have any concerns that you wish to discuss regarding the reports, please contact your child’s teacher using the XUNO messaging platform or direct email (please do not contact the school office as they will be unable to direct your call).

Any references to Not Yet Demonstrated are a great opportunity to have a conversation with your child and their teacher to look at strategies and specific learning and effort behaviours to improve learning progress.

For Years 7-10, these reports will reflect student learning from the beginning of Week 2 (the start of the flexible and remote learning period) up until the end of Week 5 (that is the first four weeks of learning).

  • The reports will include information regarding the number of online learning interactions that your child has completed as an indication of their online attendance and learning progress.
  • These interactions took a variety of forms (e.g. completion of a draft written piece, a reflection or exit task, a worksheet, a response to a question, a test, etc.).
  • A subject that normally has 6 periods a week would expect 2 learning interactions completed per week.
  • A subject that normally has 3 periods a week would expect 1 learning interaction completed per week.
  • Most subjects will have either 4 or 8 interactions set across this 4-week learning period, however some subjects may have set less due to the interruptions from school closures and student-free days.

For VCE students, these reports will reflect student progress towards their VCE subject outcomes from the beginning of Week 1 to the end of Week 5.

  • Any references to Not Applicable will mean that the teaching and learning of that Outcome has not yet begun.
  • Any references to Making Progress will mean that your child is working towards satisfactory completion of an Outcome
  • Your child’s teacher may contact you regarding any concerns about the way your child is progressing towards an Outcome

For VCAL students, these reports will reflect student progress from the beginning of Week 1 to the end of Week 5.

  • Progress towards their outcomes are strongly linked to the behaviours of the Staughton Student Matrix, in particular the behaviours of Learning and Effort.

As always, you do not have to wait until reports are released to contact your child’s teachers should you have any concerns. The XUNO messaging feature is one of the easiest way to contact a staff member. Any references to Not Yet Demonstrated are a great opportunity to have a conversation with your child and their teacher to look at strategies and specific learning and effort behaviours to improve learning progress.
