Primary News

Dear Parents and Carers,
We have certainly packed a lot into the last few weeks and I can see that the remaining two weeks will be even busier. Please take note of the diary dates in this edition of the newsletter for further details.
Whole Primary ‘save the date’ events include:

Refer to the recent email sent or click on the button below to book a time and use Event Code etgzg
Primary Music Night – Thursday Week 10 (24 September)
Please note:

Family Fun Day – Friday Week 10, 12:00noon - 2:30pm (25 September)
Last week the students took part in a Science incursion from the group Education Interactive. Students were given a problem to solve. They were able to solve the problem by using their investigative skills and resources such as microscopes, UV light, and codes.
Recently, we held a Reception 2021 Parent/Carer evening. It was lovely to see so many parents attend. We heard from Mr Cheesman, the two Reception teachers for 2021, Mrs Carpenter and Mrs Erkelenz as well as useful information from other key staff. It was a wonderful occasion. I hope the evening gave those who attended helpful tips and information on what to expect from ‘big school’.
I am very excited to announce that in Term 4, we will begin a Student Representative Council (SRC). The remainder of Term 3 will allow nominations and selections to occur. Students from Year 2 to Year 6 will have an opportunity to be nominated and voted on by their peers. Mrs Erkelenz and I will be involved in the meetings which will run once a week. We are very excited to hear what ideas the students have, to make their school a better place to learn and grow.
Have a wonderful weekend Tyndale Team!

Messages of Hope
The Year 2s and 3s, along with our School Captains, got together Wednesday afternoon to create beautiful cards with messages of hope and encouragement for our local nursing home residents.
From little things, big things grow!
One generation inspiring the next!
Jeremiah Davids shared his journey from starting to learn Piano in Primary School to completing Year 12 SACE Music in High School with Year 1 Beginner Piano student Summah.
Parents had the opportunity to hear Jeremiah play a Beethoven piece at the recent Little Women performance and will again have the opportunity to also hear Jeremiah perform Rachmaninoff at our upcoming Music and Drama Showcase night!

Father's Day Gift Stall
We hope the children thoroughly enjoyed buying gifts for their dads and granddads - made possible by our super Volunteer mums! Thanks for all your work in purchasing and wrapping and running the stall.
Footsteps Dance
Students from Reception to Year 6 have been loving the Footsteps dance program that began last week. Students have enjoyed moving and grooving to various tunes and showing off their moves. Through rhythm, pattern and co-ordination skills, students have been learning how their bodies move. With 2 more weeks to go there is plenty more fun and learning to be had!
Don't forget to send your children in PE Uniform on these days. Dates on diary section of Admin page in Newsletter
