R U OK?
Yesterday we celebrated R U O K ? Day.
R U OK? is a national charity inspiring and empowering everyone to meaningfully connect with people around them and support anyone struggling with life. Looking out for one another and lending support is a key life skill for any age group.
This year’s theme for RUOK Day is :- Learn What to Say after R U O K.
1.Ask 2. Listen 3. Encourage Action 4 Check in
If you feel like something’s not quite the same with someone you know – there’s something going on in their life or you notice a change in what they’re saying or doing - trust that gut instinct and take the time to ask them “Are you OK?” If someone says they’re not OK, make time to listen, encourage action and check in. That conversation could change, or even save, their life.
Tyndale used this national day as a way of reminding each other that as part of God’s family, we can look out for each other and check in with each other. And that if people are not going well, then encouraging others to talk about their issues and if necessary, seek further support should be a part of our ever day conversations.
