Wellbeing

From the Wellbeing Team

I am sure everyone will agree that 2020 is not the year we all expected. We recognize that for many of our school families, this is unfortunately a great understatement. It's certainly been a challenging and extremely tough year for everyone on many levels.

The Wellbeing Team has been working hard to address as many concerns as possible, even while remote and it is for this reason that I would like to take this opportunity to publicly thank all of our dedicated Wellbeing Team members who have gone above and beyond during this difficult year, to ensure continuity of support for our students.

As students begin the return to on-site learning we understand that a new ‘transition phase’ will begin. For the most part, a key focus for all staff will be on reengaging with students and giving our young people some time to readjust to old routines. Families can help this process in a few simple ways, and you will find some excellent information on this topic (published by the Australian Psychological Society) attached to today’s Whytalla.

On behalf of the Wellbeing Team, we welcome back all of our students and we congratulate you on the resilience you have demonstrated throughout this difficult period. We look forward to seeing you all again!
