Stage 4 Entrepreneurial Enterprise

Stage 4 students this term have been involved in awesome real-world learning through their Entrepreneurial Enterprise unit. After considering their gifts, strengths and passions, students were placed into teams that they would work together with for the remainder of the term to develop an innovative business.

Students worked through the entire process of building a business, from deciding on a business idea and the need or want this business would meet, to presenting a business pitch as part of a loan application, to considering ethical and wise money and business management, to conducting market research to find out about their customers’ needs, to creating a name, logo and mission statement for their business, to planning a video advertisement and website using persuasive techniques to market their business.

Week 9 was the culmination of students’ learning in our ‘Enterprise Week’, where students were able to see all of their hard work come to fruition as they sold their products and services to the school community. All students were successful in repaying their loans, with interest, and have donated a portion of their profits to charities of their choice.

Thank you for your support of our learning this term!

Growing Faith at Home

We seem to have an inbuilt ‘fairness filter’ that is constantly measuring what happens to us and others around us.

God’s desire to lavish his love and generosity on everyone, that is everyone, can create some interesting discussion!

This week’s GFH resource offers some great ideas and activities to do as a family.

God bless you and your week!
