Musicians and Bands for the School Fair - Register your Interest

The School fair Entertainment Coordinators are putting a call out to musicians and bands from the CHPS community to perform at this year’s School Fair on Saturday November 23.

The Music has been a highlight of previous fairs and is a great way to bring people together. Amongst our school community there is plenty of talent, so whether you're a pro, a has-been or up-and-comer, we want to hear from you.

Plenty of people volunteer their time for the fair and this is chance for musically minded to do so as well. Let's make Clifton Hill the ''School of Rock"!

To register your interest, get together:

- Short bio, outlining your connection to the school, what you intend playing on the day, and your contact details

- A Recording (doesn't need to be professional standard, just a good representation of your sound)

Send it through to chpsfairentertainment@iinet.net.au  by Monday 21 October and we will let you know soon afterwards!

For reference, if the schedule allows we anticipate a 20-30 minute set from each act, and up to four acts on the day.

If you have any questions reach out to the Entertainment Coordinators Stewart Denmead or Mark Elliott at chpsfairentertainment@iinet.net.au.

Send it through to chpsfairentertainment@iinet.net.au  by Friday 11 October and we will let you know soon afterwards.

Lolly Stall

We need lollies for the Lolly Stall!

We would love it if every family could donate two bags of non perishable lollies.  We love sour straps, sour lollies, warheads, sherbies, redskins, wizz fizzes and other wrapped goodies. Please no chocolate as it melts.

You can drop them off to either the 3VG canteen lunch order basket OR direct to the box in the canteen.

Silent Auction Call Out

We are now taking donations for the Silent Auction. All classrooms have been assigned a theme.

You don't just have to donate something for your class hamper - we  welcome any donations including goods, services, accommodation, vouchers from you, your friends or your place of work.

GIFT HAMPER COLLECTION BOXES ARE IN EACH CLASSROOM AND NEXT TO THE OFFICE.

Second Hand Donations

We will be accepting donations for HIGH QUALITY second hand clothes, toys, trash & treasure and books from the 28th October.

Stay tuned for when and where to drop your donations off.

Second Hand Book Stall

We need second had books - good quality and please NO cds/DVD’s or encyclopaedias.

The Second Hand Book Stall will be accepting donations from the end of October - details of drop off times will posted shortly.

CHPS Fair – BAKERS WANTED!

We are looking for volunteers to join the CHPS Fair Christmas Cake Baking Team. These cakes are very popular and are usually sold out by the day of the Fair.

Joining our team of volunteers is a great way to raise money for the school while filling your home with the delicious aroma of a batch of Christmas cakes. You can bake whenever it suits you as the cakes will keep for weeks prior to the Fair.

No previous Christmas cake baking experience is required (in fact, it’s a great way to learn if you are interested).

How it works: we supply (at cost, usually around $25) a batch of pre-weighed dried fruit and brandy, along with the recipe and detailed instructions. Each batch of fruit/brandy makes up to 4 delicious cakes, depending on size baked. We can even lend you baking tins.

If you’d like to join the team or would like more information, please email or text Melissa Spencer (melissa.spencer888@gmail.com/ 0407 324 959).

Thank You!

I would like to extend a huge thank you to our sponsors: Cavallini, Kennards Storage, Bakers Delight (Clifton Hill) & Jonathan's Butchers. All of these local businesses have been supporting the fair for years and it is hugely appreciated.
