Introducing the Year 3 Teachers in 2021

Hi everyone. Here is a little about my life and my times as a teacher.

I have been teaching for quite a long time and taught most year levels including kindergarten and year 11 for short periods, when I taught overseas in England. I have been an Art teacher, PE teacher and a classroom teacher.

I love playing and watching most sports and I barrack for the Mighty Bombers. Unfortunately, they haven’t been too mighty in recent years.

I have a creative side which sees me enjoy drawing, thinking laterally, pranking friends and renovating old caravans.

I am a bit of a thrill seeker as well and love scary rides. One of my favourite things to do was a tandem parachute jump.

Thanks for taking the time to read a little about me and my life.

3-26 – Mrs Linda Phiippedis

Hi Everyone, it’s Mrs Philippedis and I’m excited to be working with the wonderful 3-26.  This is my 11th year at Plenty Parklands Primary School, and I feel blessed every year I’m here, our wonderful community including our beautiful students make it a very special place to work at. I’m excited to not only teach in 3-26 but, also work with all the year 3s and 4s as a Learning Specialist this year. At home I have 2 teenagers, a husband and a puppy named Reggie. Reggie keeps us all on our toes but, we wouldn’t have it any other way. I also love going out to eat at my favourite place called Demitri’s Feast in Swan Street Richmond, the food is amazing. I continue to be a passionate Tigers supporter and I’m looking forward to the new season. Hopefully we can win 3 in a row. I can only dream.

GO TIGERS!

3-27 Mr Michael Hicks

My name is Michael Hicks and I am really enjoying being the teacher of 3-27 this year, they’re a fantastic group of learners! We have already had so much fun getting to know each other and developing our classroom processes and expectations.

I have a strong passion for education and have spent my career teaching in many places including Cape York in Queensland. In my spare time, I like to spend time visiting new places with my friends, laze about with my dog Winston and cat Panda, and challenge myself to cook delicious food!

3-28 Mrs Marni Harry

My name is Marni and I have been at Plenty Parklands for 5 years. It’s a different year for me this year in 2021, first of all - I got married on the school holidays to my husband, Lewis, and have now changed from Miss Chambers to Mrs Harry! The kids and I are still getting used to it! It’s also my first year teaching Year 3 after being in Prep for the last four years. I am loving my year in 3-28 so far, and it’s been great to see how much the kids have grown since teaching them in Prep! I’m most excited about going on school camp for the first time in Term 4!
