Specialists Updates and Celebrations

Messages from our Specialist team (P.E., STEAM, Music and Mandarin)...

P.E.

District Tennis:

Param Shah (Grade 6) and Ryan Mathew (Grade 5) took part in the Southport District Tennis competition two weeks ago. The boys were the first ever students to represent SMPS at a district level tennis competition and should be proud of their efforts. It was a fantastic learning experience for both students and Param even reached the semi-finals! A huge thank you to Ryan's parents who were terrific examples of community members and offered to take both the boys to the competition.

Ride2School Day:

Ride2School is a nationwide program that enables students to get physically active on their journey to school.

We will be promoting Ride2School throughout the year and have a special celebration towards the end of each term. National Ride2School day is on Friday March 19th (Week 8) and we will be celebrating in the form of an aerobics session out the front of the school at 8:30am.
