With SCSA sport commencing this week there have been lots of trials and training sessions happening around Kilbreda and Mentone Girls Grammar.
Congratulations to the SCSA Triathlon team who participated in Geelong on Tuesday. It was a great day with all students giving their absolute best.
Junior team:

Overall Kilbreda came 3rd! It was an amazing effort by all members of the Triathlon squad. Thank you also to the parents who came along to support the girls.

Swimming and Diving training commenced this week. Well done to the early risers who have committed to being part of this team. Training is at Mentone Girls Grammar on the following dates and times:

With these competitions being held in the coming weeks, trials have already commenced, and some teams have been selected. Good luck to all of the students who will represent the College at the SCSA Tennis (11 March) and SCSA Indoor Cricket (16 March).
The course starts next Tuesday 2 March from 3.30 to 4.30pm. This will run for four weeks on 2, 9, 16 and 23 March.

SEGAP (South Eastern Girls Activity Programs) is an inter-school competition between OLSH (Bentleigh), SHGC (Oakleigh) and Killester (Springvale). The competition does not start until Term 2. However, some of the selection trials will take place over the next few weeks towards the end of the term.
Please encourage your daughter to attend these trials. The Term 2 sports are: Badminton; Basketball and Futsal. This competition is open to Year 7 to Year 10 students.
Just over 60 Year 9 students have registered to participate in the Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award. Over the next few weeks girls will learn how to cook on a trangia, put up a tent and pack their packs in preparation for the practice component of their adventurous journey which will be held in conjunction with the Year 9 Bridges Camp in the last week of this term.
