Star Struck

Fast Track Report

Hi we are some of the sports academy students and your sport captains for 2017. We are here to bring you the 5-9 Sport Academy report for Term 1.

This term, the Year 5 and 6 students have been working on their game sense knowledge and skills, such as creating more space, time and movement. They have also been learning some effective warm up and cool down stretches and processes. They are aiming to improve mobility and prevent injury while playing their chosen sport.

Year 7s, 8s and 9s were with some of the soccer coaches from Bundoora United. They practiced some basic skills such as headers, shooting and dribbling. They also played a small 4v4 game.

We also had Warrick Giddy come in from Melbourne United Basketball Club who taught the 7s 8s and 9s simple skills such as dribbling, spacing the court and practicing our defence.

We are also exited for our upcoming camp in Anglesea, at the camp we will be canoeing, surfing and  mountain bike riding. Students will be participating in team building activities and fitness challenges.
