The Super Fish

Ethan and Kubrat took on the best swimmers in the region. This is how they got there:

After blitzing the competition in 2016 The Lakes Swimming Carnival, Ethan (Year 6) and Kubrat (Year 5) represented The Lakes at the Whittlesea District Swimming Carnival at Northcote Sports and Aquatic Centre. Ethan placed first in his Freestyle and Butterfly events and Kubrat placed second in his Backstroke and Butterfly events.

Both boys advanced to the Northern Metropolitan Region Carnival on Wednesday 15th March at Northcote Sports and Aquatic Centre.

At the Northern Metro Swimming Meet  Both boys faced tough opposition in their events. Kubrat placed 4th in his backstroke time trial and 6th in the butterfly. Ethan came 2nd in both his freestyle and butterfly time trials, but just missed out on a medal coming 6th and 4th overall respectively. Ethan also swam a 1 second personal best in his freestyle event.

We're all very proud of the boys and their amazing achievements. Well done Ethan and Kubrat!
