CHIPS Presentation Day

Students efforts acknowledged

The CHIPS program has now completed its third year.  Starting in 2015 with approximately 30 students, the program has developed significantly with number of students participating this year growing to 84.  These students worked at various times during the year to improve their literacy and numeracy outcomes.  In 2017 the program was expanded to include students with a wider range of ability.

Our presentation afternoon was held last Friday 8 December and each student was presented with a certificate to acknowledge their participation and efforts during the year.  Over 100 students and parents attended.  Mr Gauci and Mr Bullock spoke about the improvements made by the students and how the program addresses the wide range of student needs.

The program will continue in 2018 with a similar format.  Any community member is welcome to volunteer for the morning class each day (except Wednesday).   No experience is needed as we will train you to work with the students in a specific area.
