White Ribbon Day

Pledging against Domestic Violence

Cowra High School were involved in a march in support of the White Ribbon - 'Breaking the Silence' campaign on Friday 24 November.

Joining with Cowra Public School, Mayor Bill West, members of Council, Community Health, local businesses and sporting organisations, the gathering at Holman Oval allowed all to express support for the campaign and swear the oath to end men's violence against women.  The day was a huge success and showcased what good positive relationships between people of all genders and ages are all about.

After the ceremony, White Ribbon leaders from Years 10 and 11 went to Cowra Public School to assist with running a sports afternoon.  The students played Touch Football, T Ball, Soccer and Cricket.

Rotary Driving Simulator visits Cowra High

The Rotary Club of Young have been travelling around the region with the Driving Simulator and spent a few days last week giving Year 10  the opportunity to experience difficult situations whilst driving on the roads.

Cowra High School would like to thank Cowra Rotary Club who volunteered to man the simulator over the four days it was in the school.
