Men of John XXIII College “End of Financial Year Festivities” included a night with Peter Rowsthorn and WA Fathering Project Coordinator Steven Rushford.

Over 70 Dads gathered at the Cambridge Bowling Club for Peter, Pasta, Pizza and round table discussions and tips on fathering. Such important questions on how do you manage the Home WiFi and control screen time. How to use humour to diffuse tension. The “Not to laugh at your Dads Joke Competition” got some chuckles and here is the requested link so you can try it on your kids!

Peter Rowsthorn is a Dad who always supports us and was in fine form with a great many laughs on his childhood with some excellent messaging in there. After Pete we looked at a number of different messages involving communication, Dad dates and just being there when they want to talk and you just listen.

Our next activity will be on Friday 6 September. This will have a number of speakers and I will fill you in on this one after the holidays.

Dads over the next two weeks do some kid things, organise a date, go for a walk, cook a meal together and most importantly talk and have a laugh.
