Year 8 Beachside Softball

The Year 8 girls' softball team played in the Beachside Round Robin on Wednesday 14th March at Farm Road Reserve. The team, runners up at the SSV state finals last year, had high expectations coming into the competition. With a few new members on board, the girls won their first game convincingly against Mentone, 19-2. There were some excellent plays between Tess and Phoebe, making a great 1st base and pitching combination. The girls went on to win their second game against Elwood 21-8. Thank you to Lauren, Keely and Maani who all stepped in to play with Elwood showing great sportsmanship. Well done to the team as they now progress on to the SMR Regional Finals on Thursday 3rd May.

Team: Tess, Ashleigh, Phoebe, Erin, Kate, Lauren, Emma L, Emma G, Keely, Maani, Alicia, Dahlia, Bianca, Becca, Zoe (coach).

Well done to everyone for a fun day and good luck to William at the division finals.
