McDermott Avenue Reserve Master Plan Development

Yarra Ranges Council is inviting feedback to inform the development of a Master Plan for the McDermott Avenue Reserve.

The reserve has been underutilised since netball moved to Pinks Reserve several years ago. At that point the intention was to sell the land. Council officers are now investigating the feasibility of alternate options for the site. It is recognised that the local residents value the space for walking, dog walking, as a place for learning to ride a bike and other recreational activities.

Council is investigating the future opportunities for community use of the McDermott Avenue Reserve. We invite local residents and reserve users to help us understand how they use the reserve and to share their thoughts and ideas to help shape the future of the site through the master planning process.

To inform our Background Review, please complete our online survey so we can understand:

  • How you use the Reserve and what are your existing and future needs?
  • What are the main issues that we should take into consideration?
  • What changes or improvements you would like to see at the reserve to assist you and your family to be fitter, healthier and more engaged in your local community.

Below is a link to the survey which should take about 5-10 minutes to complete and will close on 29 November 2020.
