Classroom Libraries

All of our classroom teachers have worked with their children throughout this year to establish and continually develop their classroom libraries. This special place for books in every classroom has been designed by the children with the great consideration given to the interests and ideas of all children within the classroom.

Research tells us that it is difficult to maintain an effective reading schedule in your classroom without a quality classroom library. And, for a quality classroom library, we also need quantity – a large quantity of books that children have immediate access to within their learning space.

So, with a very big thank you to our very supportive and generous Parents & Friends Association, we are excited to announce that Campion Books (formally Ballarat Books) will be providing a huge display at our school next week for every child to choose a book to contribute to their classroom library.

We cannot thank the PFA enough, as well as Campion Books, for supporting us to further enhance the classroom libraries throughout the school, while providing an opportunity for Student Voice and Choice. Thank you so much!
